Please join us for a hands-on course in the company of professional Food Photographer Kirstie Young and gain knowledge, skills and insider tips to style and shoot beautiful photographs of food.

The course will focus on:

How to style the shot to tell the narrative of the food, and make it look as good as it tastes

How to approach different food types and textures

Natural light techniques and the power of simplicity

How to stay original and stand out from the crowd

About Kirstie Young

Kirstie Young has taken photographs of Food, Drinks, Chefs and Restaurants for a living for over 10 years. She shoots for clients the length and breadth of the country and her work has been widely published in National Newspapers and Magazines. Recent clients include Olive magazine, Simple Things magazine, The Telegraph, The Guardian, Waitrose Weekend, Thatchers Cider, Action Against Hunger and Bordeaux Wines. Recent portraits have included Sandor Katz, Ottolenghi, Fergus Henderson and Xanthe Clay.

Students will need to bring a camera and have a basic knowledge of shooting on manual if possible .
