6161 is the highly imaginative new project of original compositions by Bristol drummer and composer Matt Brown. Matts individual and musical approach to music has led him to perform with the likes of Massive Attack, Rodriguez, This is the Kit, Get The Blessing, Gregory Porter, Squirrel Flower and many more. He recently spent 4 years performing and composing with acclaimed Bristol band Run Logan Run and won The Montreux Jazz Festival talent award with the duo. Since his recent departure from RLR Matt has been focusing solely on his own first project 6161. The band is based around a stellar 4 piece horn section plus synths and of course drums and will showcase Matt’s distinctive brand of composition. A modern, Alt/Jazz, horn heavy project for the 21st century.
A highly energised set of original material. Imaginative deployment of the seven musicians let the music range from danceable grooves and brass counterpoint to blasting blowouts. (Tony Benjamin, Bristol 24/7)

Developed within Bristol’s vibrant walls, t l k’s deep commitment to evolutionary introspection has allowed their recorded work to resonate widely in the live space. With the “delicate strength and clarity” of their vocals (B24/7) at the core of rich, undulating arrangements, t l k’s live show blends a palette of electronic minimalism, ambient soundscape, experimental sound design and neo-classical sensibilities to form something gently assertive, enlivening, ever-evolving, and altogether transfixing.
