Join us for an evening of live music with the incredible Modulus III, mixing minimal synthesizers, sweeping textures, energetic drums, haunting cello, driving Fender Rhodes - all woven through engaging improvisations that might make you feel like dancing at one moment or like you’re lost in a retro-futurist soundtrack the next.
It’s difficult to stick a band like Modulus III into a genre when its members blatantly devour any music that feels honest, human and expressive.
When not busy with Modulus III, you might find members playing with Fred Wesley, Pee Wee Ellis, Get the Blessing, Beth Orton, Charles Hazelwood, Ken Vandermark, Andy Sheppard, Rodriguez, or The Moog Ensemble. Perhaps you might spy one playing Ronnie Scott’s, the BBC Proms, Montreal Jazz Festival or the Tate Modern. You’ll catch their names in the credits for films, games and TV shows working with composers like Neil Davidge (Halo 4, Massive Attack) Adrian Utley (Portishead), Ana Calvi, Will Gregory (Goldfrapp), Dan Jones or producing albums for bands including Perfume Genius.
Modulus III is releasing their debut album with artwork created by artist Jock (Batman, Star Wars, Ex Machina).
