Modern Craft Workshop | How To Make An Intarsia Crochet Blanket.

Creative Workshop | Crochet Blanket EV.jpg

Join Bristol maker & Etsy Bristol team leader Emma for a slow Sunday discovering the joys of crochet. And share a delicious seasonal lunch with your fellow makers around our long table.

During this workshop we will be exploring how to design and make a crochet blanket, adding pattern using the intarsia technique. Perfect for lovers of geometric patterns and those looking to take their crochet skills to the next level. We will start the day by looking at pattern and colour options before making a start on our blankets. All materials and tools will be provided, we will be working with aran/worsted weight yarn and a 6mm hook with the aim of producing a blanket roughly 65cm wide x 85cm high. You will need a basic knowledge of crochet to attend this workshop but its still very much achievable by those who would consider themselves a beginner. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

In this workshop you should learn:

- How to design an intarsia crochet pattern.

- How to create a seamless colour change

- How to work with multiple balls of yarn at once

- How to weave in loose ends

- How to finish and edge a crochet blanket.
